the piano
-part 3-
after calming herself, cindy picked up the handset and called her aunt's house again, she asked the maid of what happened to her aunt, the maid answered, " last year your aunt woke up in the middle of the night shouting in fear that someone was after her, we calmed her down but she would'nt listen, she was crying and shouting to someone from her window, telling it to leave her alone and that she was'nt part of it, since then she was always afraid and she would'nt eat nor sleep, she was always frantic that someone was trying to kill her, until weeks later we saw her on her bed laying there motionless and smiling", confused shocked and curious cindy tried to know more about her aunt's death and asked if her aunt sent a letter about a girl to her, the maid said she was writting something but it was never sent to anyone, cindy told the maid to try and find it and to send it to her immediately, it might help her to understand of what her aunt had become.
after putting the phone down, cindy tried to analyze what she just heared, what was her aunt saying about that she was'nt part if it, "something about this does'nt makes sense at the moment, but i'll get to the bottom of this" cindy said, her shock and being scared turned into determination and courage, she was going to make this a little more clearer for her. that night dinner was already set at the at the table but she had no appetite, she was looking at rain every now and then, trying to figure out who she really is, until she decided to go to her room, she then noticed rain's neck when she walked behind her to go to her room, she saw the same birthmark she was telling her that her twin had, shocked she immediately walked to her room, she was about to enter when she saw rain looked at her with the same faint smile she had when they first met, it gave her the creeps.
sitting by her bed cindy looked at her computer and did something she never ever thought she would do, she browsed the internet about the story rain had told her, there she saw an article of a doctor who aborted an 18 year old girl, but what made her hair stand up was the picture of the doctor, it was her late grandfather, doctor luis santiago vasquez, beside him was her aunt, maria louisa vasquez, her grandfathers nurse at that time, the story says, that an 18 year old bled to death at the clinica de vasquez, which was a hospital clinic at that time, the whole ground floor was for the patients of the doctor, the story also said that the doctor made a critical move that made the girl bleed continously, but reports are also saying the girl had bruises resulting to beating and it looks like she tried to run and seek help, also it says on her autopsy that the girl had been drugged, but it was'nt that and her grandfather's picture made her scared, it was the fact that she saw the picture of the girl who died, it really looks like rain, but in the article it says that she was the only daughter the family had, but what really made her stand up was that the article was published 20 years ago, how can the girl in the picture still looks the way she looked like 20 years ago, who is rain? she asked herself.
having too much information overload she went outside to get a glass of water, but when she opened the door the lights were out, and it looks like a storm was coming, calling out to everybody with no answer she was getting worried and scared at the same time, she searched everywhere but she found no one, getting more dark inside the house she slowly looked for a flashlight, and when she has one she continued searching, until she heared someone playing the piano, she knew who and she knew she was about to get the answers she was looking for. thunder claps and rumblings was being heared inside the house while the sound of the piano made it worst, she continued walking towards the piano, there sitting quietly was rain playing the song she plays everytime, standing still cindy gathered her courage to ask rain who she was but she was too late, rain had asked her first, rain said, " you might be wondering who i really am, i know what you did", oblivious with the question she continued listening to rain, " i know you don't remember where you heared this song or whom you heared it from but let me refresh your memory, 20 years ago little cindy was only 4, the very playful little girl, the kind of girl that can get what she wants, her grandpa always makes her listen to him play, and lets her play aswell, your grandpa loves you so much does'nt he?", cindy then realized she was telling the truth, her grandpa was the one who did play her that song, but where? she remembered coming to this house 10 years ago, but she cannot remember where the piano used to be, rain continued her story, " you still can't remember everything?, okay i'll tell you more, this house used to be a hospital clinic, right? oh you don't remember, well here's more, this was renovated to a house you now are standing on", confused cindy blurted out, "i dont care what this house was i want to know who you are!!!", " what a pity, litlle cindy does'nt even remember her old playmate, ha ha ha...", rain said with a devious laughter, " what?" cindy exclaimed, "who the hell are you?", getting irritated by this guessing game cindy tried to pull her arm, but was scared when the shimmer of the lightning reflected on rain, her faced changed to a beautiful girl to a monster, even for a moment cindy was scared, but was still determined to know the truth, then rain said, " okay lets stop the games, i'll tell you who i am, 25 years ago your grandpa took me as a maid here in your house, what was then a hospital clinic, i was only 13 then, and you were'nt born yet, a year later you came, i was the first one who played with you, not your yaya tiending, i was your first yaya, but 4 years after, i grew up to be an adult, your grandpa suddenly changed his ways with me, until we had an affair, your aunt knew about it, your mom did'nt, until the happy days were no more, i got pregnant and when i did'nt want to abort it, your stupid aunt tried to kill me, and when she could'nt do it she drugged me and pursued your grandpa to do it, but he had a better idea, why waste a beautiful girl to play with if he can just take away the ugly part of her?, he took my baby and killed me!!!", cindy said in a high toned voice, "he would'nt do that, he is a good man" , "a good man you say?" rain added, how can a murderer be a good man if he killed his own flesh and blood?, how can he be if his own grandchild he can't resist?, can't you remember cindy?, he tried to touch you, i was in your dreams i see what you see, you saw me die that night i am now a part of you, you killed your grandfather, you killed you aunt, we killed them!!!",

25 years ago luis vasquez took care of rain but her real name was cindy, cindy was named after her because of her strong outcome and very flawless skin, she's a bright young lady and a hardworking one, the family really loved her like a daughter, until she had come of age, doctor luis vasquez tempted cindy until one day they had an affair, maria saw her father with cindy and threatened her to kill her but she was inlove at that time, then she got pregnant, cindy told luis and luis told maria, maria tried to poison her but cindy found out, when maria felt hopeless to do anything, luis had a better idea, he was'nt about to give up cindy's body, he was too aroused by her, he drugged her, and that is when he operated on her, but cindy soon woke up during the operation, she tried to run away but was too weak to do so, she bled on the floor, that is when little cindy saw what happened, there cindy's soul became one with little cindy,they saw eye to eye, and cindy cursed the family that she will be back for vengence and her death will be the start of it, the doctor and her daughter got caught, but being one of the respected and very powerful man they got away with it, soon after the hospital clinic was renovated and the family started to move back, but even before that doctor luis had his hands all over little cindy at the age of 7, that is when doctor luis died, cindy saw how she did it, she poisoned his grandpa and she saw how her grandpa faded away, still being young she was'nt convicted in any way, her aunt moved to the states after the hearing, and when cindy was 22 years old and a striving doctor aswell thats when her aunt started to have delusions about rains death, but in truth cindy was the one doing it, no one was there to see how she done it, at that time her aunt was sick and it was just the right timing for her to do it, she gave her pills and drugged her litlle by little until she faded as well.
cindy is still a doctor and she accepted rain inside her, she now has two beautiful and handsome childrens, she calls them luis and maria.

the piano
-part 2-
when cindy woke up that morning, her whole body felt numb, this is the first time she felt it, she even feel more tired from her work that day, the dream she had kept playing over and over like a broken record, she can't stop seeing rain's twins face, something inside her tells her that it was rain not her twin, but she could'nt make up her mind about it.
she decided to go home early to look for rain, she saw her playing the piano, she thought of something, she knew she already heard that song before but she could'nt remember where and when, rain stopped playing and looked at cindy, she asked her why she went home early, all cindy could say is that she felt tired, cindy had the urge to ask her about her twin again, but she thought that rain would think that she is being paranoid. cindy went to her room and changed her clothes, she was sitting on the bed for almost an hour when she heard a knock, it was rain at the door, she asked cindy if she wants to talk about something, cindy gathered her courage and said yes, she asked rain more about the her twin on how she died and then rain said, " she died of abortion", shocked and saddened of what happened cindy could'nt stop asking, she asked who impregnated her and how she died of abortion, she answered that a family man did it, and when he found out he pursuade her to abort it, she did'nt want to, but him being a family man and a liscensed doctor he drugged her twin and pushed through with the abortion, but her twin woke up during the operation that she tried to flee the place but she kept bleeding until she died then and there, the doctor tried to hide the body but the police were too smart, the man was sentenced to life but was moved to a mental hospital, curious of how he was moved cindy asked her again, she answered, " my sister kept haunting him, he said he kept hearing sounds of cry of a little baby, and when i visited him to ask him why he did it he kept shouting and telling me to leave him alone and that he was sorry of what he did, i can't even accept his apology, well he died anyway, so he got what he deserved in the first place", cindy saw that rain was smiling and she felt she was glad that the man died, she too felt happy for her.
that night she had the same dream again, and the night after that, she was having that dream all week long, she could'nt sleep well and could'nt work either, she was frustrated, until one night her dream changed, this time the girl in her dreams had a beautiful smile, her long black hair was in a pony tail while braided and then she looked back, there cindy saw the birthmark she had behind her neck, an upside down heart, she suddenly woke up in a sweat, she said it was'nt a nightmare but why was she sweating like that, she ignored it and went back to sleep, after that incident she was relieved that she could sleep well again and that her work was'nt affected anymore, but that's when changes in the house happened, every time she went home she felt the ambiance in the house was a bit strange, she would see yaya tiending always jumpy and that the dogs were too tired to play even the plants started dying, the whole house was becoming so dark and heavy that you'll feel it's almost like your in hell, even the maids started changing, they were always moody all of a sudden, but for rain she kept quiet and was always sitting at the piano, playing the same song everyday.
getting tired of the same thing happening everyday she confronted everyone of what is happening with them, she started with her yaya, " i keep seeing a shadow walking in the hallway and faint cries of a woman being chased" but cindy did'nt believe her, and when it was the turn of the maids all they could say that they felt that they were always angry, that someone made them mad, confused cindy could'nt help resolve the issues inside the house, same with the dogs they were healthy but still looks tired, she tried talking to her psychiatrist friends, but all they could advise her that she should let them rest, maybe the work was stressing them, she followed the advice but to no effect it was still the same, resulting to a last resort she called her aunt, but it ends up being the shock of her life, the maid on the phone told her that her aunt was already dead for over a year, but she did'nt receive any letter that her aunt already died or even a call, scared and confused, cindy dropped the handset and cried.

the piano
-part one-
24 year old cindy is the only daughter of the vasquez family, she already owns the family mansion, the family restaurant and a small shopping mall, her parents died when she was only 13 at the time so at a young age she was determined to do everything to survive alone, she was left with everything the family owns, a set of maids and her own personal yaya, manang tiending, manang tiending lived her life serving the vasquez family and taking care of cindy, cindy has a close relationship with her yaya, when her parents died it was only her yaya to take care of her until she comes of age to be able to handle all the family left her with, she is now a liscensed docto and she still has time to manage all the business her parents left her.
came monday morning she recieved a letter from her aunt in the states, telling her that an 18 year old girl named rain will be coming over on saturday, the letter also said that the girl is very quiet and that in time she will know the real reason she was coming over, puzzled by the letter she was still eager to meet the said girl, she came home early from work to make arrangement for the arrival of rain, at 10:00 she was finished preparing when suddenly she got startled by a girl sitting at the piano of her late grandfather, she remembered that someone was visiting her so she quickly asked the girl if she was rain, the girl slowly looked at her with a faint smile and said " yes ", she immediately reached for her hand and introduced herself, " my name is rain de la cruz, im from the states, finally i have the chance to meet you cindy, i waited a long time just to see you and now im here, hope we can be best of friends " cindy smiled at her and asked her to join her at the table so they could talk some more and eat. while they were eating cindy suddenly noticed rain's face, she was a bit pale but beautiful nonetheless, rain noticed that cindy was looking at her and she said, " do i look like im dead? " cindy got shocked and quickly said, " no, i just noticed that your too beautiful, you look matured at your age ", rain smiled and went red.
cindy and rain went to the living room and had dessert, cindy asked how she met her aunt, she said " my dad is a family friend, when they died your aunt took care of me ", then cindy said, " im sorry to hear that, my parents died when i was 13 so i know the feeling ", they both smiled at each other, cindy then asked how they died, rain answered, " they died because they cannot bear the fact that my twin sister died ", she felt sorry for rain that she immediately told her to rest and that they could talk some more in the morning, so she guided rain to her room and left her to rest while she goes back to work. cindy went home at 3 in the morning and rested her aching back when suddenly she had the feeling that someone was watching her from the window, she looked at her window and got shocked with what she saw, she saw rain from her window looking at her with feirced eyes, glaring at her, it was like she was so mad at her that she was completely frozen from her bed, then suddenly rain was coming at her, and that is when yaya tiending woke her, it was just a dream but for her it felt real, when she looked at her yaya she noticed rain was standing behind her with a worried look, she then asked rain how her twin looks like, she answered " we look the same but we have a different birthmark behind our neck, why are you asking? ", cindy said she had a nightmare about her that she was looking mad at her and she almost attacked her, rain suddenly laugh, and said, " why would my sister be mad at you she does'nt even kow you, maybe your just tired, go back to sleep maybe tommorow you will feel better ", yaya tiending and rain also went back to sleep, but as for cindy she was still thinkng of her dream but still had the chance to fall asleep.

came monday morning she recieved a letter from her aunt in the states, telling her that an 18 year old girl named rain will be coming over on saturday, the letter also said that the girl is very quiet and that in time she will know the real reason she was coming over, puzzled by the letter she was still eager to meet the said girl, she came home early from work to make arrangement for the arrival of rain, at 10:00 she was finished preparing when suddenly she got startled by a girl sitting at the piano of her late grandfather, she remembered that someone was visiting her so she quickly asked the girl if she was rain, the girl slowly looked at her with a faint smile and said " yes ", she immediately reached for her hand and introduced herself, " my name is rain de la cruz, im from the states, finally i have the chance to meet you cindy, i waited a long time just to see you and now im here, hope we can be best of friends " cindy smiled at her and asked her to join her at the table so they could talk some more and eat. while they were eating cindy suddenly noticed rain's face, she was a bit pale but beautiful nonetheless, rain noticed that cindy was looking at her and she said, " do i look like im dead? " cindy got shocked and quickly said, " no, i just noticed that your too beautiful, you look matured at your age ", rain smiled and went red.
cindy and rain went to the living room and had dessert, cindy asked how she met her aunt, she said " my dad is a family friend, when they died your aunt took care of me ", then cindy said, " im sorry to hear that, my parents died when i was 13 so i know the feeling ", they both smiled at each other, cindy then asked how they died, rain answered, " they died because they cannot bear the fact that my twin sister died ", she felt sorry for rain that she immediately told her to rest and that they could talk some more in the morning, so she guided rain to her room and left her to rest while she goes back to work. cindy went home at 3 in the morning and rested her aching back when suddenly she had the feeling that someone was watching her from the window, she looked at her window and got shocked with what she saw, she saw rain from her window looking at her with feirced eyes, glaring at her, it was like she was so mad at her that she was completely frozen from her bed, then suddenly rain was coming at her, and that is when yaya tiending woke her, it was just a dream but for her it felt real, when she looked at her yaya she noticed rain was standing behind her with a worried look, she then asked rain how her twin looks like, she answered " we look the same but we have a different birthmark behind our neck, why are you asking? ", cindy said she had a nightmare about her that she was looking mad at her and she almost attacked her, rain suddenly laugh, and said, " why would my sister be mad at you she does'nt even kow you, maybe your just tired, go back to sleep maybe tommorow you will feel better ", yaya tiending and rain also went back to sleep, but as for cindy she was still thinkng of her dream but still had the chance to fall asleep.
